Shirley Goines, originally from New York City, is a songwriter who writes R&B, POP, COUNTRY, EDM ,CCM and AC.
Shirley grew up in Spanish Harlem where she had the opportunity to spend lots of time at the famed Apollo Theater, there she met some of the all time greats, and was even mentored as a young aspiring songwriter by a few!! She was bitten by the bug and as she tells it, songwriting is the very air she breathes.
Later, Shirley would have her first music related job at RCA Records where she learned the inner workings of a major label. While there, she formed a production company, Fe- Nomenal Productions and landed her first distribution deal with Prelude Records. "All I Need Is You", performed by Starshine, which Shirley co-published and executive produced, was a success on an international level and has just been re-released to a whole new audience available at most online music stores.
Her most recent release was on one of the Top 30 Best Soul Albums in The U. K. for 2015. The song "Don't Promise Me Sunshine" is featured on Diane Shaw's debut album "Love, Life, and Strings", which went on to #1 on the U.K. Soul Charts in 2015!! The song was co-written with Grammy award winner Ken Williams who also co-wrote "You Don't Know My Name" for Alicia Keys.
She also had a song released by Malaysian Artist, AC Rick. The song "Hot Streak", co-written with Christina Meyer charted #1 on HITZ FM, Malaysia's number one English-speaking station.
After numerous songs released on other labels, Shirley is going it alone. With her vast catalog of unreleased material and up and coming artists, it is the perfect storm; an idea whose time has come.
